Police make arrest in Hartford car burglary

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) –  Police in Hartford were looking for suspects in a stolen car case Tuesday morning.

Police say they found a man sleeping in a car with the door opened on 175 Kenyon Street. Officers saw drugs. That’s when they arrested 35-year-old Ehren Cephas of Manchester.

According to police, Cephas is a convicted felon with 23 arrests in Hartford. Police found a loaded 9mm handgun with seven live rounds, 35 sleeves of heroin, four small bags of cocaine, and two small bags of marijuana inside of the car.

Cephas was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit.
