Study: Alternative medicine used to skip flu shots

(WTNH) — A new study suggests parents who use ‘alternative medicine’ or having health providers like acupuncturists or massage therapists may be less likely to have their kids get a flu shot.

Researches say only a third of those children got a flu shot. That’s compared to 42 percent of children who were not exposed to the complementary approaches.

How many children are we talking about? Maybe more than you think. Past research suggests that nearly 12 perfect of children in the United States have received some form of ‘alternative medicine’.
