PROSPECT, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy in another Instagram clown threat case.

The boy, who is not being identified, is being charged with disorderly conduct.

The resident trooper in Prospect received a call from the Principal’s office at Long River Middle School reporting that several students had informed administrators of Instagram postings that were based on the incidents around the state, involving clowns and threats.

The posts related to the Prospect case identified schools in Prospect, Beacon Falls, Waterbury and New Haven. Police say the posts did not make specific threats of violence toward any school or student.

The 13-year-old Beacon Falls boy is due to appear in Waterbury Juvenile Court on October 20.
