HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police have made several arrests on Thursday for the illegal sale of pills in bodegas around the city.
Detectives from the Vice and Narcotics Unit conducted multiple search warrants on three Hartford bodegas on the lead that they were selling pills during their normal business hours.
Among these stores were Los Cubanitos Market on Park Street, Salcedo Grocery on Broad Street, and Jordi Grocery on Capitol Avenue.
The detectives found and seized 647 prescription pills and $1,42 in U.S. currency.
Police arrested three unnamed individuals for several narcotic related charges.
Officials say Los Cubanitos Market of Park Street has been raided at least five times in the past few years, and the merchant has been previously charged with similar crimes.
All three businesses were ordered to shut down by the CT Department of Labor.
