Serious accident closes road in Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police say a road in Stratford is closed after a very serious motor-vehicle accident.

The Stratford Police Department reported the accident was reported around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Two vehicles appear to be involved with both obtaining major damage. The crash occurred at Broadbridge Avenue in Stratford between Yukon Street and London Terrace.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes. The road is likely to be closed for several hours.

No word on drivers conditions or injuries.
