STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men have been arrested for three car burglaries in Stratford. 34-year-old Frank Mierzjewski and 19-year-old William Santiago were taken into custody early Wednesday morning after being found in possession of several pieces of jewelry along with an identification car and debit card of one of the victims.

Both men were arrested after a police followed up on a report of two suspicious males in the area on Swanson Avenue. Both men were stopped by police and charged when police found the two with the stolen items. The investigation started after a man reported seeing the two by his neighbor’s car and provided the Stratford officers with strong descriptions of both men.

Mierzjewski and Santiago are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on the fourteenth of October each with three counts of Burglary in the third degree and two counts of Larceny.
