ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — A 16-year-old girl has been arrested for threatening to have clowns come to Emmett O’Brien Technical High School in Ansonia and shoot people, police say.

According to authorities, school administrators told an officer that students complained about the threat. They say a girl, who’s name was not released, was identified as the suspect and arrested Wednesday morning. She’s charged with first-degree threatening and breach of peace, and was referred to juvenile court.

Police say there is no evidence linking Wednesday’s threat to a threat on Tuesday. Two 13-year-old girls have been arrested for allegedly making Tuesday’s threats.
