Waterbury Man Pleads Guilty in Overdose Death

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) – A statewide investigation targeting narcotics dealers who distribute heroin, fentanyl or opioids that cause death or serious injury to users has resulted in a guilty plea by one Connecticut man.

Ronald Weaver of Waterbury was in court Wednesday.  He pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the overdose death of a Newtown woman back in March.

He is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill on December 28, 2016, at which time he faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years.
