Lisa P. Cohen “Being Too Fierce”


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Lisa P. Cohen boxer and author of “Being Too Fierce” A Memoir about growing up in the foster care system in Washington DC, as well as her boxing career. She began boxing in 1996 at age 28, and turned pro the following year. Competing under the name of Lisa “Too Fierce” Foster. She won the IFBA Junior Featherweight World Title. Lisa also started the Too Fierce Boxing & Fitness, in her hometown of Washington, DC.
Lisa has two children, daughter Taylor who is 23 and son Gerald who is 25. For a period of time Lisa even did standup comedy. Lisa was also a member of the U.S Navy and now runs a non-profit organization called Capitol City Champs, Inc.
