ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Orange police arrested a Guilford mom after her unattended 10-year-old reversed her car into the FedEx on the Boston Post Road.

On Saturday, October 1 around noon, Orange police say they were dispatched to the FedEx Print & Ship Center at 400 Boston Post Road on a report of a car into the front of the building. Officers say they discovered 36-year-old Rise Burrow and her child had just visited the nearby spa, Massage Green Spa, and Burrow had allowed the child to wait in the car while she finished up inside, passing along the keys.

While inside, police say the child started up the car, put it into reverse, and then got out of the car when it started moving. After jumping the curb, the car backed into the FedEx Office. Police say no one was injured, and the building “received slight structural damage, but was not compromised.”
