Hartford Police: Phone stolen from woman’s back pocket

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Hartford Police are investigating after a woman told police a group of teenagers stole her cell phone out of her back pocket.

According to the Hartford Police Department, officers responded to Ann Street at Asylum Street around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday after a woman felt someone remove her cell phone from her back pocket.

The victim told police that she saw four teenagers on bikes riding east toward Ann Street after it happened.

The Hartford Police Department said that this incident is consistent with other robberies that have recently occurred in the downtown area.
