Mother, daughter injured in Meriden hit-and-run

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are looking for the person who hit a mother and daughter near a Meriden intersection on Friday evening.

Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, Meriden police say they were called to the intersection of Springdale Avenue and Lewis Avenue for a serious accident. Responding officers found a 40-year-old mother suffering from life-threatening injuries, and her 7-year-old daughter also suffering from injuries.

The mother was taken by LifeStar to MidState Hospital.

Police say witnesses on scene said a red car, possibly a Nissan, with tinted windows left the scene.
