Plainfield police investigating multiple car break-ins

PLAINFIELD (WTNH) — Plainfield police say they apprehended a person involved in several car break-ins since the beginning of October.

Plainfield police say on Thursday they apprehended a person who was allegedly breaking into a car in the area of Gendron Road and Major Drive. Police say after getting permission to search the car, they found several items that were stolen from other unlocked cars.

According to police the suspect that was arrested also broke into cars on October 5th in the area of New Road and Moosup.

Police say the case is still under investigation and arrest warrants are pending.

The Plainfield Police Department says they have several items that have not been claimed. Please contact the Plainfield Police Department at (860)564-0804, if there are any items found missing from your cars.

Police say residents need to make sure they are locking their cars at all times.
