Sen. Blumenthal urge federal action to keep kids safe from falling furniture

(WTNH)– United States Senator, Richard Blumenthal will urge federal action on Friday to keep kids safe from falling furniture, TV’s and appliances.

The Senator is helping lead  the “stop tip-overs of unstable, risky dressers on youth” or “sturdy” act to require stronger, mandatory federal standards to keep them safe.

New reports by the “consumer product safety commission” show more than 15 -thousand injuries each year to children crushed, trapped or hit by tipping furniture and other falling objects.
