HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Saturday morning, thousands of runners from across Connecticut and the country took part in the Hartford Marathon. About 12,000 of them to be exact.
There was a full marathon, half marathon and a 5K, even a kids’s race. Those taking part in it, all ran for different reasons.
“Health and fitness is number one. Charities is number two. So we have people who train to run. They run to raise money,” said Technical Director Josh Miller.
There are 26 different charities that benefit from the marathon. In addition to the runners, 65,000 people came out to enjoy the festivities.
