MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)–As you walk along Bridgeport Avenue in Milford, all that you can see from the accident are a couple of lines where Amanda Keen came to rest after she got hit by a driver who then took off.
But what you can’t see going on behind the scenes are the police officers working really hard, pushing this case forward, and the community that is coming around her.
Asked if she remembers anything from that night, Keen says that thankfully, it’s all a blur to her.
“It’s best for me that way,” she said.
On Monday, family and friends gathered around Keen. She had just finished her shift at the Bridge House restaurant in Milford. She was walking to her car when she was run over and left for dead in the middle of Bridgeport Avenue.
“I just know it is a dark colored Nissan Altima, they traced some of the pieces of the car it is a 2012 two 2016, so it is a newer model dark colored Nissan Altima.”
It happened back in August. She fractured her skull broke two vertebrae in her back, cracked several ribs and her arm will have to be completely rebuilt.
“Every day I am feeling a little bit better, and I’m having more good days than bad now and that is awesome,” Keen said.
Investigators, Amanda and her family are asking anybody who knows anything about this accident and that hit-and-run driver to please call the Milford police department.
