ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — 38-year-old Stephen Soares will appear in court on Tuesday for threatening Chuck E. Cheese’s employees while allegedly attempting to drink and drive.

Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, Orange police say they responded to the Chuck E. Cheese’s on the Boston Post Road on a report of a disturbance.

Restaurant employees say they tried to stop Stephen Soares from driving away, after they noticed “a number of empty liquor bottles” left on the table he was seated at. Soares reacted by lifting his shirt to reveal a handgun, asking “Who is going to do something?”

Police seized the handgun, and charged Soares with threatening and breach of peace. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
