HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Several people were arrested while protesting a video appearing to show a Connecticut Police Sergeant stomping on the head of a handcuffed man.

Police cruiser camera video released October 5th shows the aftermath of the car chase in June.

Two Hispanic men were arrested. Officials say sergeant Sean Spell, who is white, is seen stomping on one of them. Spell retired in August. His attorney says the video did not capture all that was going on at the scene. “Black Lives Matters” activists protesting Spell’s actions and a delay in releasing the video.

The activists organized the protest at Hartford city hall on Monday. Organizers say eight protesters were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct while marching to the Mayor’s home. A police spokesman did not immediately return calls for comment.
