Birds, Snakes and Tortoise Found Inside Weston Home, Owner Arrested

WESTON, Conn. (WTNH)- A Weston man was arrested after police found a number of animals were found living in his home, and on his property, without proper food and water. Police say they found birds, snakes and tortoise’ found at the address on Newtown Turnpike after someone reported a bad smell there.

Police say the animals were removed from the home and taken to facilities that can properly care for them.

Daniel Kopulos is the property owner and police say he owned the animals too. Police say Kopulos was running some type of pet business. Kopulos is charged with cruelty to animals and is due in court later this month.
