Sterling driver hospitalized overnight in one-car crash


PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Plainfield police are investigating after a one-car crash on Harris Road sent one man to Backus Hospital late Tuesday night.

Around 12:12 a.m. on Wednesday, Plainfield officers responded to Moosup area of Harris Road, on a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Police say that 36-year-old Warren Tate, of Sterling Road in Sterling, was driving northbound on Harris Road when his Audi A4 traveled over southbound lanes, colliding “head on” with a tree.

Tate was transported to Backus Hospital by ambulance, however there is no word on the severity of his injuries.

Plainfield police say that the accident is still under investigation.
