Three men found with counterfeit credit cards in Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Three New York men were arrested in Wallingford Wednesday after police say all were found to be in possession of counterfeit credit cards.

According to authorities, employees of the ShopRite on North Colony Road called officers because a man was trying to use multiple credit cards, some of which were being declined. Police say they found five counterfeit credit cards on 20-year-old Jose Cepeda.

Police say they determined there were other suspects who had already left the store. They say they stopped 44-year old Andre Pharis and 21-year-old Christopher Guevara in a car that was leaving Stop & Shop. Officials say both men also had counterfeit credit cards on them.

All three men are charged with credit card theft, identity theft, and other crimes.
