Westport police investigating reports of a bomb threat

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — The Westport Police Department is investigating reports of a bomb threat.

Police said they responded to a call on Wednesday, Oct. 12 to Bridgewater Associates.

Bridgewater Associates is located at 1 Glendinning Place in Westport.

According to police, no evidence of an explosive device was discovered.

The Stamford Police Bomb Squad and the State Police Bomb Squad responded to search the building.

Officers set up a perimeter and assisted Bridgewater Security in evacuating the building.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Westport Police Detective Bureau in investigating this incident.
