HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Hamden’s Harvest & Homecoming Food Truck Festival will feature a “Little Italy” area, to incorporate the town’s second annual Heritage Festival, “Festa Italiana,” which had to be rainchecked in September.
On September 29, a day before “Festa Italiana” was set to kick off, Mayor Curt Leng announced that the event would have to be postponed due to inclement weather. The event was scheduled to include a cultural exhibit showcasing Hamden’s Italian heritage, in addition to a number of other cultural showcases and activities.
This exhibit, as well as specialty food vendors and live entertainment courtesy of Rich DePalma, can be found at Friday night’s Harvest & Heritage Food Truck Festival. The “Little Italy” vendors, and others, will line Hamden’s Town Center Park from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Leng’s office also announced that the exhibit would find a home in the Miller Memorial Library following the festival.
A viewing of Jurassic Park was also rescheduled, to run tonight on the Barn Stage at 7 p.m.
