Two Waterbury Men Arrested For Westport Car Theft

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH)- Two Waterbury men were arrested for allegedly stealing a car in Westport. Police arrested 18-year-old Malachi Johnson and 20-year-old Marcus Singleton and charged them with first degree larceny.

Police say back on February 24 a 2015 Honda CRV was stolen out of a driveway on Silver Brook Road in Westport. Police say the keys were in the ignition and the doors were not locked. After a long investigation, police arrested Johnson and Singleton on October 14.

Police say another car, stolen from Waterbury, was found in Westport not far from where that Honda was stolen.

Police say they served the arrest warrants on the two suspects when they were in Norwalk Court on other charges, not related to the car theft.
