How to make spooky kooky cake pops for Halloween

NEW HAVEN Conn. (WTNH) — Halloween is right around the corner, and that mean we will have kids showing up at our doors before we know it. So what better way to bring in the spook fest than by creating some amazing cake pops that will wow all of your friends.

Connecticut blogger Nicole Charles stopped by our station to show us just how easy cake pops can be and how creative you can be with them.

Spooky bat cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • Oreos
    • Dark Brown Candy Melts
    • Black Candy Melts
    • Candy eyeballs
    • Decorating squeeze bottle

Mummy cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • White Candy Melts
    • Candy Eyeballs
    • Gauze
    • Decorating squeeze bottle

Frankenstein cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • Green Candy Melts
    • Black Candy Melts
    • Candy eyeballs
    • Thin pretzel sticks
    • Candy decorating pens
    • Decorating Squeeze Bottle

Ghost with treat bag cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • White Candy Melts
    • Black Candy Melts
    • Orange M and M’s
    • Decorating squeeze bottle

Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin cake pops:

  • Ingredients
    • Orange Candy Melts
    • Thin pretzel sticks
    • Green candy (M and M or green sprinkle)
    • Black candy pen

Eyeball cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • White Candy Melts
    • Silver plastic forks
    • Large candy eyeballs
    • Red candy pen

Candy corn cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • White Candy Melts
    • Candy Corn
    • Sprinkles

Scarecrow cake pops:

  • Ingredients:
    • Tan (light brown) Candy Melts
    • Dark Brown Candy Melts
    • Rolo Candies
    • Lifesaver Candies
    • Shredded wheat cereal
    • Leaf shaped sprinkles
    • Round  Black Sprinkles (optional, you could just use candy pens and draw the face)
    • Orange chocolate covered sunflower seeds (optional, you could draw the face)
    • Candy pens
    • Decorating squeeze bottle
