Ask the Lawyer: Sandy Hook families lawsuit

(WTNH)– In this week’s Ask the Lawyer segment, News 8 anchor Anne Craig speaks with Attorney Tara Knight on a judge’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Sandy Hook families against Remington Arms.

That ruling came down late last week, saying that the North Carolina-based company is protected under the Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which was passed by Congress in 2005. The act shields gun makers from liability when their firearms are used in crimes.
