Hartford police make drug and gun arrest

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police officers say they got more drugs and weapons off the street during a traffic stop last Friday.

According to the Hartford Police Department, Hartford community service officers stopped Deshawn Harley in traffic near 96 Russ Street, Hartford. Following this traffic stop, officers performed an investigation during which they found a firearm and marijuana in Harley’s vehicle.

The Hartford Police Department also had an active warrant out for Harley for threatening and breach of peace charges. Harley was interviewed by members of STF and transported to the booking facility at the Hartford Police Department for the appropriate charges and served with his warrant.

He was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, carrying a pistol without a permit, along with other various charges. Quinton Prince, the passenger in Harley’s car, was cited for possession of marijuana and released.
