Kellianne Jones joined News 8 as an Investigative Producer in November 2015.
Since Kellianne came to News 8, the Investigators have reported extensively on Connecticut’s heroin crisis, ties between lobbyists and politicians in Hartford, and a rigged game at the CT Lottery. After the Investigators exposed problems with a federal database used to connect opiate addicts to treatment, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) cited the story as his impetus for new legislation.
Kellianne came to Connecticut from Fox News Channel in New York City, where she began her journalism career. Most recently an Associate Producer for Fox’s Documentary Unit, she field-produced segments for hour-long specials on Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S., the NSA, the rise of ISIS, and 2014’s midterm elections.
Kellianne’s freelance work has been published by BBC News and Narratively, among others. She has also worked on documentaries such as Freakonomics, Call Me Kuchu, and HBO’s 12th and Delaware.
Originally from Ohio, Kellianne attended Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
