MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — Police served a search warrant and seized evidence of marijuana cultivation in Montville.
The Montville Resident State Trooper’s Office and the Montville Police Department initiated an investigation after complaints about narcotic and suspicious activity were reported behind the 33 Cove Rd residence. A search and seizure warrant was issued on several outside buildings located directly behind the residence, according to state police.
Investigators collected approximately four pounds of packaged and drying marijuana, drug paraphernalia, marijuana wax, psychotropic mushrooms, two firearms, ammunition, drug packaging materials, scales, cell phones, fans and $648.00 in cash. All items were seized and transported to Troop E in Montville. State police say this is an on-going investigation and that arrests are expected.
