Wallingford man arrested for driving drunk

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A Wallingford man is facing charges for driving while drunk.

According to the Wallingford Police Department, Robert Peterson, 63, of Wallingford, was arrested after getting into an accident at the intersection of South Colony Road and Quinnipiac Street on Saturday.

Wallingford Police determined Peterson was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Upon searching his car, officers found 13 bags of crack cocaine and prescription medications.

Peterson faces a number of drug-related charges as well as a charge for driving under the influence of alcohol.

No one was injured in the accident.
