MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut Post Mall will be closing on Thanksgiving in an effort to help renew the tradition of being with family for the holidays.

The owners of the mall said they want to stress the importance of spending time with loved ones, and give their employees the opportunity to do so too.

“All holidays are special and each one should be cherished. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we encourage you to spend as much time with your family and close friends,” says Danielle Consiglio, Marketing Manager for the Connecticut Post Mall.

There is a desire to bring families closer during the holiday season and the Connecticut Post Mall wishes to celebrate the traditions of the holiday and help families to be together.

“Not only does this allow for families to be together on Thanksgiving, but it brings back the excitement that has historically surrounded the busiest shopping day of the year,” said Steven Levin, CEO of Centennial Real Estate, the parent company of Connecticut Post Mall.

The mall will officially reopen on Friday, November 25th at 5:00 a.m. for Black Friday to kickoff the holiday shopping season.
