EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has released the cause of the death of Feras Freitekh, the student pilot killed in the East Hartford plane crash from October 11th.

The Medical Examiner says Freitekh died from thermal injuries and smoke inhalation. The manner of death however is still pending.
Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board have said that the fatal crash was an intentional act.
