(WTNH) — Thousands of people across the country will join together in going bald to show solidarity with cancer survivors who have lost their hair during their fight.

Be Bold, Be Bald! was created by members of Boston-based advertising agency, Small Army in honor of Mike Connell.

Connell was the agency’s co-founder who lost his battle with cancer in 2007.

The annual event happens on the third Friday of October each year.  Click here to find out how to sign up for the national fundraising event.
