New Haven firefighters investigating recycling plant fire

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven firefighters are investigating what may have sparked a fire at a recycling plant on Wheeler Street early Friday morning.

Around 12:50 a.m., fire crews responded to All American Waste, located at 19 Wheeler Street, on a report of a fire in progress.

Heavy flames were reported by crews arrive on the scene.

It is unclear how long it took crews to extinguish the fire, but firefighters were still on the scene checking for possible hot spots as late as 5:50 a.m. The scene has since been cleared.

No injuries have been reported. Firefighters are now investigating what may have caused the fire.
