NEW HAVEN Conn. (WTNH) – Gut health is vitally important to overall health and for weight loss. That’s why POP Weight Loss’s Director of Nutrition, Kara Ganssle stopped by Good Morning CT to talk about ways to help the digestive track.

She says the gut and GI tract is a very complex ecosystem. Ganssle says it’sa balancing act between good and bad bacteria. This balance is what keeps our immune systems strong and our risk for health related issues down. Research shows that our gastrointestinal tract influences our brain, heart, skin, weight, mood, and our overall cancer risk.
