Ferry services disrupted during Monday’s early morning commute

HAVERSTRAW, New York, ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — Ferry service is just resuming on one Connecticut ferry while service on a second remains shutdown as the early morning commute gets underway on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016.

As of about 7 a.m. service on the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry was just getting going.

Service on the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry had been closed due to mechanic difficulties.

The Rocky Hill Ferry is currently closed.

It’s shutdown due to staffing issues.

Metro-North officials say it’s expected to stay closed for more than 24 hours.
