Hamden police make arrest connected to June sexual assault

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Hamden police have made an arrest in connection with a sexual assault of a teenager that took place in June.

According to a news release from Hamden police, the Meriden Superior Court approved the arrest warrant application for James Ramunni 59, of Hamden, in connection with the incident. Ramunni was arrested at his residence on Friday.

Officers brought Ramunni to police headquarters, where he was charged with two counts of sexual assault as well as risk of injury to a minor.

Police said Ramunni was released after posting a court-ordered bond of $75,000.00 and will appear in court on November 4th in Meriden.
