Arrest made in Putnam liquor store hold-up

PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH) – The man accused of holding up a liquor store in Putnam over the summer is now under arrest.

According to police, 43-year-old Matthew Koivisto walked into Sunny Wine and Spirits on August 30, pulled out a knife, stole cash and beer, and took off in a white Dodge van.

As the result of their investigation, Putnam Police made the arrest this morning. Koivisto is charged with 1st degree robbery and larceny in the fifth degree. He is now being held on $75,000 bond.
