CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) – State health officials are testing a skunk for rabies, after it came into contact with two dogs in Cheshire. The skunk was found dead under the home where the dogs live. Children who live in the home found the dead skunk. The dogs were both current with their rabies vaccinations, but they are getting booster shots in accordance with the Department of Agriculture rabies protocol. The family says they’re following their doctors orders regarding post-exposure rabies vaccinations.
