WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) – A diverse ability career fair scheduled in Waterbury Thursday is designed not only to assist jobseekers but also help employers build a more diverse workforce that can benefit their business.
State Labor Commissioner Scott Jackson says “Companies will find information regarding recruitment and training support, hiring incentives, assistive technology and additional resources. At the same time, jobseekers can meet with employers regarding job openings and take advantage of free resume critques and practice interview services.”
The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott, 63 Grand Street, Waterbury. It’s on or near several CT Transit and CT Fastrack bus routes. There is free on-site parking.
Sighted guide services and American sign language interpreters will be at the fair.
