MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Metro-North is operating on schedule after experiencing delays in the Milford area due to police activity Wednesday morning.

Metro-North tweeted that New Haven line customers will experience the 15 to 20 minute delays.

Police tell News 8 that the police activity was from a tractor trailer truck that hit an overpass on Beardsley Avenue. Train traffic over that bridge was closed as crews worked to remove the truck from the scene.

Commuters were advised to avoid the area as well. The scene has since cleared.
