Connecticut lawmaker touting importance of healthy homes

New Britain, Conn.  (WTNH) – Connecticut congresswoman Elizabeth Esty will take part in a forum in Hartford today along with a homeowner whose residence was impacted by lead contamination.

According to Congresswoman Esty’s office Luis Varillias used funding from the Connecticut Healthy Homes Program to fix lead paint hazards at a number of his properties.

An official from that program and the director the the U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development will also visit a healthy home site in New Britain today.
