HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Hartford Police say they were able to stop a home invasion, and arrest a gang member armed with a stolen gun. On Wednesday, Hartford Police got a tip that a convicted felon and gang member was preparing for a home invasion. Hartford Police identified the suspect at Willie Deas. They say they found Deas getting into the passenger side of a car near Bedford Street and Mather Street. Detectives recovered a stolen .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun and a black ski mask. The gun was stolen earlier this week from a car in Hartford. Deas is facing a list of gun charges.
