MYSTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Staff at Mystic Aquarium released three more seal pups back into the wild on Thursday morning.

Prior to Thursday’s release, Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program has rehabilitated and released 17 seals so far this year. On Thursday, pups Potch, Topaz, and Crystal were returned to their ocean environment.

Potch, Topaz and Crystal were all abandoned shortly after their births. All three are between four and five months old.

Officials at the aquarium say the pups are now healthy and prepared for life at sea.
