Guide gives information on state’s entry-level jobs

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Labor Department has updated its publication for entry-level jobs in Connecticut.

The publication is called  “A Look at Connecticut’s Entry-Level Occupations,” offers wage data and job description for people who are starting their careers or retirees interested in trying a new vocation.

“With 23 occupations listed, our goal is to give jobseekers an idea of the skills needed, wages they can expect, and the related jobs within that occupational title,” noted Office of Research Director Andy Condon. “With the wage range encompassing about 80 percent of the workers in that occupation, it can serve as a useful guide for those researching various employment opportunities.”
