Write-in candidates for Connecticut ballot named

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  The names of official write-in candidates, including more than a dozen for President and Vice-President, that Connecticut voters can write in on November 8th, has been released by the Secretary of State’s Office.

The list has 20 candidates each for President and Vice-President, two for U.S. Senate, 10 for U.S. Representative and 24 for state and local offices.  According to the Secretary of State’s Office the candidates had to register with the office by October 25th to have their votes counted.  Their names do not appear on the ballot but voting machines are programmed to accept the names of the candidates.
