Just before 10 a.m. Saturday, Meriden police were called to the Liberty Bank at 852 East Main Street for a reported robbery.

Police say a man walked into the bank, wrote a note that he had a weapon and gave it to the teller. Police say no weapon was shown. The teller gave an unknown amount of money to the suspect who then left the area, possibly in a red-colored vehicle.
