Connecticut hits voter registration record

Hartford, Conn. (WTNH)- The incredible interest in the presidential race has likely fueled a huge registration of new voters in Connecticut this election cycle. According to the Secretary of the State’s office the number of people registered to vote now stands at 2,115,434. Today, November 1st, is the final day to register to vote this election cycle either on-line or in person. Prior to this year, the record for number of registered voters in the state was set in 2008 with 2,104,989. For more information on registering to vote you can go to the website myvote.ct.gov.
