NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut (on foot) with “Taste of New Haven Food & Drink Tours” to celebrate New Haven Restaurant Week!

Taste of New Haven is a one-mile walking tour, spotlighting the historical and culinary background of the Elm City. Oh and you get to enjoy some eats on the way!

Taste of New Haven tour guide, Colin Caplan weights in on the most interesting culinary fact about New Haven:

Well beside the fact that we invented the hamburger sandwich, we used to be the headquarters and founding location of the Culinary Institute of America. So we are a foodie city by its very nature. We work with Anna Liffey’s, Katalina’s Cupcakes, Odd Bin’s Bottle Shop, that’s all one tour and we walk about a mile.

The tour also visits Choupette Crêperie & Cafè, a Parisian style crepe shop. With sweet and savory creations, the casual restaurant has become a fan favorite with locals.

Be sure to take advantage of New Haven Restaurant Week, now thru November 4th. From 28 restaurants in New Haven, enjoy a three course prix fixe, $20.16 lunch and $34 dinner. Cheers.
