CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) — Cheshire police are investigating after a woman said she was assaulted on Strathmore Drive Wednesday afternoon.
Police say around 4:40 p.m., they got a call from a 46-year-old woman. She told police while she was walking in the Strathmore Drive neighborhood, she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her around the shoulders. The woman told police the man then reached between her legs with his other hand.
The man let go of the victim and fled on foot toward Newbridge Circle.
The suspect is described as a late teen Caucasian male, approximately 5’10” tall, athletic build, with short, black hair. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and red shorts.
Police searched the area and didn’t find anyone. Police say this suspect and method of attack is consistent with previous incidents that have been reported in town.
